"A very simple scheme was in place: after the invasion, when the occupiers began to pay monetary rewards to medical workers, their number was significantly inflated. That is, the occupation 'managers' received cash - rubles, then formed statements according to which the employees of medical institutions allegedly received salaries. But a significant part of these people on the lists were employees who actually refused the Russian salary, left the occupation, or did not work. And funding was allocated for them.
There are many such examples of collaborator fraud. I am confident that this will end with only a few traitors remaining, who are needed by the Russians to show that at least someone from the locals is supposedly participating in the 'management' of the region."
When was asked whether the collaborator, the so-called governor of the Kherson region Saldo with his experience in the budget sphere, did not know about such scams, Yuriy replied
"At the very least, he was aware. Perhaps he was not only informed but also involved in this scheme. However, it will be Ilmiiev* who faces the consequences, as Saldo is still needed."
*Vadym Ilmiiev is the so-called "head" of the regional health department.
I should like to know more about these dismissed collaborators.
Were they really dismissed for corruption or is is prejudice against native Ukrainians?
