Moreover, the apparent lack of an effective investigation into the incidents and/or the general application of the measures to all people concerned, among other things, proved that such practices had been officially tolerated by the Russian authorities.

More than 80 percent of the downed "shaheeds" are precisely on account of the mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine
Source: Official Telegram channel of the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschuk
From January 1, 2024, Russian occupiers released 2,277 "Shahed" strike drones across Ukrainian territory. Approximately 86% of them, totaling 1,953 "Shaheds," were neutralized by anti-aircraft defenses.
These results were achieved through enhanced combat capabilities of the mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Thousands of servicemen deploy almost nightly to fire positions, engaging enemy UAVs with all available weaponry.
Establishing these mobile fire groups was a necessary step for the Air Forces since the onset of the Russian invasion. The enemy continually escalates attacks with a large number of aerial assault means, especially concerning strike UAVs. We had to react swiftly, increasing not only the number but also the quality of these mobile fire group units.
Today, small arms, anti-aircraft guns, MANPADS modified for the mobile fire groups are equipped with additional gear capable of delivering effective combat results. This includes night vision devices, thermal imagers, optics, laser designators, projectors, ECM systems, software, and high-mobility vehicles. All of these enable more efficient and rational operations against enemy targets.
More than 80% of downed "Shaheds" are credited to the efforts of the mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Therefore, thanks to everyone who contributes to making these mobile fire groups more effective by providing necessary equipment for successful operations! This includes charitable foundations, local communities, volunteers, activists, Ukrainians, and the global community.
Each war escalates to a new technological level, with increasing importance placed on various types of UAVs and the integration of artificial intelligence. Mobile fire groups are continuously being improved. It is highly probable that operators of UAV interceptors and other advanced weaponry, including combat lasers, will join their ranks.
