Kyrylo Budanov personally honored an 81-year-old grandmother from Lutsk who helps sink Russian ships
Source: Official Telegram channel of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine
81-year-old Tamara Lazarenko from Lutsk made social media 'explode' with her donations for drones for the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR). In response, GUR chief Kyrylo Budanov, impressed by Tamara Onufriivna's patriotic spirit, decided to thank her personally.
'When my pension comes in, I first donate for drones, then I buy medicine, and with what's left, I get treats,' says Mrs. Tamara as she methodically records all her donations in an old notebook. In a neighboring column, she keeps a list of the Russian ships that have been sunk thanks to the donations. Despite her modest pension, she always finds a way to support her army.
A video documenting the destroyed enemy equipment gathered hundreds of thousands of views and inspired other Ukrainians to follow the example of this grandmother from Volyn. The greeting from the chief Ukrainian intelligence officer nearly brought Tamara Onufriivna to tears.
