Ukrainian USF hit eight Russian shadow fleet tankers overnight
Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck eight tankers belonging to Russia’s shadow fleet in a single night.
According to Brovdi, the tankers were attacked by pilots of the Kairos unit of the 414th Separate Brigade “Madyar’s Birds.”
“The battle for fuel supplies to Crimea in the Sea of Azov continues. During the overnight aerial maritime battle on July 7, the operation reached an industrial scale of ‘fishing’: a school of eight fuel tankers, one cargo vessel, and one ferry,” Brovdi said.
He noted that all of the tankers have been identified and are under international sanctions. They are vessels with a deadweight of approximately 7,000 tons each, about 140 meters long, built between 2006 and 2012. The identified vessels are: Venera-3, Sanar-1, Sanar-17, Klimena, Teti, Aleksey Savrasov, and Penelopa.
The name of the eighth tanker is still being established.
Brovdi also said that during the night of July 7, the USF successfully struck 58 legitimate military targets deep behind Russian lines in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
The Omsk Oil Refinery, the largest in Russia, suspended operations after being hit by Ukrainian drones
According to the sources, the AVT-10 crude distillation unit, which accounts for about 38% of the plant’s production capacity (24,580 metric tonnes per day), caught fire and was damaged as a result of the drone strikes.
The Omsk Oil Refinery suspended sales of gasoline and diesel fuel on the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange starting Tuesday, July 7.
The sources said that another primary processing unit, AVT-11, was also shut down. It provided 37% of the plant’s capacity and is capable of processing 24,000 tonnes of oil per day. Although the unit was not damaged, some network nodes important to its operation were hit. Reportedly, AVT-11, which was commissioned in 2023, may resume operations in the near future.
The Omsk Oil Refinery has two mothballed primary processing units, AVT-7 and AVT-8, each with a production capacity of 10,000 tonnes. In theory, the plant could restart them.
Body of suspect in attempted attack on Yermolaiev found in Ukraine, two people detained

Having information that both men had repeatedly transferred funds to Berezovska’s cryptocurrency and bank accounts, investigators examined them as individuals who might have been involved in the attempted murder in Monaco.
Urgent investigative measures were carried out, during which the current intelligence officer reported that he had killed Berezovska together with another suspect.
The latter stated that he had not informed his superiors about his contacts with Berezovska, the money transfers to her, or any other actions, and that he had acted independently.
During a search of the former law enforcement officer’s residence, investigators also discovered a basement room resembling a torture chamber.
Both individuals have been detained on suspicion of committing murder by a group of people acting in prior coordination.
Based on the testimony of one of the accomplices, investigators conducted a reenactment and found Berezovska’s body with gunshot wounds to the head, as well as spent bullet casings.
A notice of suspicion is being prepared. The investigation is ongoing.
Facility in Vyshneve where detonation occurred does not belong to AFU – General Staff
The facility in the city of Vyshneve, where a detonation occurred following a Russian strike on the night of July 6, is not under the authority or control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Regarding the events in the town of Vyshneve, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that the facility where the explosions occurred in Vyshneve, Kyiv region, does not belong to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is not under their command. At the same time, the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine remains in force, prohibiting the placement of ammunition depots and other similar facilities near residential areas and places where civilians are present," Lykhovii said.
The General Staff also expressed its sincere condolences to the civilians affected by the tragedy caused by the Russian attack.
