PM of Ukraine, Secretary General of Council of Europe discuss compensation for damages caused by Russia to Ukraine
According to Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, the creation of the Register of Damages at the Council of Europe summit last year was a landmark decision on this path. It is expected that next year all 45 categories of claims for compensation for damage caused by Russia will be available in the register.
“We also need to intensify the creation of the Compensation Commission and the Compensation Fund as part of the compensation mechanism. We discussed further work on the establishment of a Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine. All Russian war criminals must be held accountable for their actions. In particular, those criminals who abducted Ukrainian children,” emphasized Shmyhal.

Russians lack resources for offensive on Zaporizhzhia – military
"Russia is trying to amplify these topics (about a potential offensive – ed.), particularly concerning Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, through extensive information campaigns. They are investing significant effort in this area and exaggerating events in these locations, including regional centers like Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, where such events are not actually occurring. Their aim is to push this narrative primarily through social media, and unfortunately, some of our media amplify these claims, which do not reflect reality," said Serhii Bratchuk, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army South.

Blinken condemns Lavrov's “tsunami of misinformation” at OSCE event
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spread a “tsunami of misinformation” at the OSCE Ministerial Council, primarily regarding Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, and at the same time did not show the courtesy to listen to other ministers.
In particular, he pointed to Lavrov's words about the "indivisibility of security".
"That’s right, but it cannot be and must not be a one-way street, good for Russia but not Ukraine. But let’s not fool ourselves and let’s not allow him or anyone else to fool us. This is not about and has never been about Russia’s security. This is about Mr. Putin’s imperial project to erase Ukraine from the map," Blinken said.
Against this background, the U.S. Secretary of State pointed to the statements of the Russian dictator himself, made repeatedly toward Ukraine. He recalled how Putin said back in 2008 at the NATO summit that Ukraine is not a country, and later in 2014, after the illegal annexation of Crimea, that Russians and Ukrainians are "one people." Later in 2021, before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Putin once again rejected the idea of a distinct Ukrainian people and nation, and a few months ago he again called Ukraine an "artificial state".
