Execution of 16 POWs: Russians kill soldiers from two Ukrainian units
Russian invasion forces extrajudicially executed near Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, 16 soldiers who were likely part of the two Ukrainian Army units, prosecutors established.
"As of now, we are aware that fighters from two units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may have been killed there. We know the numbers of these units. We have tentatively identified these fighters. But we are further verifying this information out of respect for their families, so as not to make an error as to their names," said Yurii Belousov, chief of the War Department at the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to Belousov, Ukrainian law enforcers have data on where exactly the Ukrainian POWs were shot and which Russian unit could be involved in the crime.
Ukrainian General Staff confirms strike on fuel depot in Russia’s Voronezh region
The Ukrainian General Staff confirmed that the Defense Forces struck a fuel storage facility in Russia’s Voronezh region on the night of October 4. The target was the Annaneftproduct fuel depot, located near the village of Anna in Voronezh region.
The operation was carried out by Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) in coordination with other defense forces. Further details regarding the damage are being specified.
Russians are seven kilometers from Pokrovsk
The Russian forces are currently located seven kilometers from the outskirts of the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, where approximately 80% of critical infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed due to Russian shelling.
